First organised as a poster competition in 2002, Ten Images has evolved into a group of events that includes workshops, exhibitions and lectures on graphic design, illustration and photography.
During the previous years, Phil Baines, Jean Jullien, Olimpia Zagnoli, Beetroot, Rejane Dal Bello, π6, Company, and Lydia Garnett have led workshops in Ithaca. Many more Greek and international designers such as Dimitris Arvanitis, Peter Bilak, Sara De Bondt, Lex Drewinski, Oded Ezer, Milton Glaser, Fernando Gutierrez, K2 design, Sadik Karamustafa, Alain Le Quernec, Luba Lukova, Sabina Oberholzer, David Tartacover, and Niklaus Troxler have participated in Ten Images for Ithaca exhibitions.
This year, from 13-17 July, Ten Images for Ithaca Creative Workshops will include graphic design, illustration and photography.
Portuguese multidisciplinary studio R2 (European Agency of the Year 2014), Greek design agency Busybuilding (awarded with Best of the Best – Red Dot 2014), London based illustrator and RCA graduate Rose Blake, and Greek photojournalist and street photographer Spyros Staveris are this year’s workshop leaders.
During the workshops participants will have the chance to work with established and award winning visual communicators and learn from their experience. They’ll also be part of a community of young creatives from around the world who will gather in Ithaca, not only to learn and exchange ideas but also to make new friends and build network. The full programme of Ten Images for Ithaca also includes design exhibitions, presentations and talks, as well as social events and tours.
